Thermally stable, corrosion-resistant special materials with a high creep strength

In the field of energy production and the power engineering required for this, the challenges lie in improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of systems. The resulting higher operating temperatures and pressures increase the material requirements of the various system components.

The required material characteristics are high temperature resistance, good creep strength and resistance to corrosion. Heat exchangers, gas turbines, burners, fuel cells, collectors and components of flue gas desulphurisation systems are subject to especially high stresses.
