1.4563 – N08028

HomeMaterials1.4563

Material description

Material 1.4563 is an austenitic stainless steel with a high chromium and nickel content. Thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance, material 1.4563 (Alloy 28) can be exposed to media containing sulphur and phosphorous even if these are contaminated with chloride or fluoride additives.

Due to its nickel content, 1.4563 also has a good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and is resistant to seawater.

An overview of the properties of 1.4563:

  • Excellent corrosion resistance in media containing phosphorous and sulphur
  • Resistant to stress corrosion cracking
  • Resistant to seawater

Applications

  • Chemical industry
  • Offshore technology
  • Fertiliser industry
  • Environmental technology
  • Oil industry
  • Flue gas desulphurisation
  • Pulp and paper industry
