High strength, corrosion-resistant and resilient special materials
Material requirements at sea are extremely high, since the materials are exposed to really unfavourable environmental conditions. The corrosive seawater and highly abrasive mixes of oil, gas and sand cause extremely high wear at high pressure and temperatures.
Components particularly exposed to stresses of this kind include couplings, seals, pump housings and desalination rings. In this area, only special materials which are able to withstand the mechanical and chemical stresses are used. Above all, these materials boast excellent corrosion resistance, the ability to withstand stress cracking, and good mechanical properties at temperatures of -60°C to 550°C.
Interrupted operations on technical systems out at sea can cause massive failure costs in a very short amount of time as a result of damaged components. As one of the biggest stockers of nickel-based alloys, we can deliver parts quickly to minimise your failure risks.
