Material description
Material 2.4375 is a precipitation-hardening nickel-copper alloy which also contains titanium and aluminium. The alloy is corrosion-resistant and offers good mechanical strengths and an extremely high resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion. 2.4375 (Alloy K 500/NA 18) is also non-magnetisable even at low temperatures.
An overview of the properties of 2.4375:
- High resistance to corrosion
- Extremely good mechanical properties
- Extremely good resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion
- Non-magnetisable at low temperatures
- Resistant to seawater
Applications
- Oil and gas production
- Chemical and petrochemical industry
- Shipbuilding
- Seawater and saltwater facilities
