Material description
The material 2.4819 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy.
The material is highly resistant to oxidising and reducing media. In contrast to many other corrosion-resistant nickel grades, 2.4819 (alloy C276) is resistant to hypochlorite, moist chlorine gas and chlorine dioxide.
The material is also characterised by good resistance to concentrated solutions of metallic and oxidising salts, such as iron(III) chloride.
AN OVERVIEW OF THE PROPERTIES OF 2.4819:
- High resistance in reducing and oxidising media
- Resistance to hypochlorite, wet chlorine gas and chlorine dioxide
- Resistance to concentrated solutions of metallic and oxidising salts
Applications
- Environmental technology
- Oil and gas extraction
- Chemical industry
- Pulp industry
